I’m Crash–or “Crash by birth” as my friend Eloise says. My Dad has a thing about names.
I’m not sure if my first love was for music or people; it’s a close call. I really, really like people. They (you) are the best. There’s nothing more healing, more joyous than human connection. But listening to music feels like heaven. Music reminds me I have a soul. So you can only imagine what people dancing to music is like for me… my brain explodes.
I feel a force pulling me toward a place I’ve never been. I named this non-place Crashlandia. It’s like a home I’ve never visited, yet I can tell I’m from there. It’s emotional, intense, and eccentric. I’m in pursuit of creating art that is native to this land. I’m pursuing it with my heart bare.
In my head, I see myself creating for stage, screen, commercial, etc. with a quirky and emotional art style. In my heart, I’m just making art with loving people. I dream of teaching for a dance convention.
Outside the studio, I’m at the gym, somewhere in nature, or slowly and humbly learning piano. I put Tapatio on everything.
